Ravenfield Parish Council would like to thank all those that sponsored lamp post poppies 2021, in remembrance of service men and women who lost their lives.

£350 was raised in donations for the Royal British Legion.

J.T Marshall My father, Charles Thorney Marshall, served all through the 2nd World War. He was gassed 6 weeks before the end of the war. The hospital ship SS Hilda, was sunk by the Germans on the way back to France. He served in the Sherwood Forester.

Roy Wilson Memorial to a Sailor. I wish to remember my Uncle, John Henry Tindall, who was a Rafting on H.M.S Glorious. It was sunk on 8 June 1940. He was one of 900 sailors lost when the ship went down. I will always remember my Uncle. God Bless.
