Ravenfield Parish Council would like to thank all those that sponsored lamp post poppies 2021, in remembrance of service men and women who lost their lives.
£350 was raised in donations for the Royal British Legion.

J.T Marshall | My father, Charles Thorney Marshall, served all through the 2nd World War. He was gassed 6 weeks before the end of the war. The hospital ship SS Hilda, was sunk by the Germans on the way back to France. He served in the Sherwood Forester. |

Roy Wilson | Memorial to a Sailor. I wish to remember my Uncle, John Henry Tindall, who was a Rafting on H.M.S Glorious. It was sunk on 8 June 1940. He was one of 900 sailors lost when the ship went down. I will always remember my Uncle. God Bless. |
