Whitestone Solar Farm - Register as an Interested Party

Whitestone Solar Farm – Have You Registered as an Interested Party?
The proposed Whitestone Solar Farm has now entered the next stage of the planning process. The application has been accepted for examination by the Planning Inspectorate, the independent body responsible for examining Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects before making a recommendation to the Secretary of State.
"I Already Objected... Why Do I Need to Register?"
Many residents submitted comments during the developer's earlier consultation, however this is a completely different process. Earlier objections were sent directly to the developer.
To have your views formally considered during the Planning Inspectorate's examination, you must register as an Interested Party and submit a Relevant Representation before the deadline of 27 August 2026.
Why Register?
By registering as an Interested Party, you can:
- Have your views formally considered by the Examining Authority.
- Receive updates throughout the examination.
- Submit further written representations if required.
If you want to participate in the examination, your Relevant Representation must be submitted by 27 August 2026. Missing this deadline could mean losing the opportunity to take part in the process.
Your representation does not need to be lengthy. It should explain, in your own words, how the proposal could affect you or your local area, for example: concerns about traffic, road safety, countryside access, wildlife, the rural landscape, your home, or your quality of life.
How to Register
You can register online and submit your Relevant Representation via the Planning Inspectorate's project page:
https://national-infrastructure-consenting.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/EN0110020
Simply select "Register to Have Your Say" and follow the online instructions.
Need Help?
If you are unsure how to register or complete your Relevant Representation, help is available.
Please contact the Clerk by email at clerk@ravenfieldparishcouncil.gov.uk or telephone 07462 468050, and we can put you in direct contact with one of the volunteer groups who can assist you.
Volunteers will also be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions at the Whitestone Solar Farm Community Information Event at Ravenfield Parish Hall on 6 August 2026, 5:00pm - 9:00pm.
Please do not assume your previous objection has been carried forward - it has not.
This is your opportunity to ensure your views are formally considered by the Planning Inspectorate. Every representation counts.
