About the Council
Ravenfield Parish Council is a local authority, and a statutory, corporate body and therefore do not have a constitution. For governance purposes we have our own standing orders and financial regulations together with various policies and procedures. We are the first tier of government and entrusted with the task of representing the interests and welfare of all Ravenfield residents.
The first Ravenfield Parish Council meeting was held in August 1912.
We are a dedicated team of seven voluntary councillors and one part time clerk and work to enhance our village, manage local amenities, and address the concerns of our community.
We hold regular meetings, held on the 2nd Thursday of the month (except August), which start at 6:30pm in Ravenfield Parish Hall, located on Birchwood Drive, Ravenfield. The meetings are open to the public, where we discuss village affairs and make decisions on a wide range of issues. These meetings are an opportunity for you to voice your opinions and stay informed about what’s happening in our community. Please see the Meetings and Minutes section of this website for more information.
The Council is the sole trustee of the Ravenfield Youth Charity and custodial trustee of other local (parochial) charities.
