Lights for Ravenfield

On Tuesday 3 December - 6.30pm to 7pm Ravenfield held its first tree lighting ceremony. Carol singing was led by local vicar, Peter Hughes, accompanied by local musicians and a choir from Ravenfield Primary School.  Several hundred people attended the event and the Christmas Tree lights were turned on by a child from the primary school, who had sent  letter to the parish council requesting some Christmas lights for the village.

The Cavalier provided refreshments and the event was an excellent start to the festive season. It is hoped to repeat the event next year.
